At Syringa Property Management you will be working with a small helpful team to learn every department in accounting;

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Cash Management
• Bank Reconciliation
• General Ledger Reconciliation
• Accrual Journal Entries
• Financial Reporting
• Assisting auditors with requests

To succeed at Syringa you will need to be able to work with a close team of accountants, and have a strong understanding of accrual accounting, using an industry specific software. Additional skills that will help you are to have strong written and oral communication skills as well as good organizational/planning/scheduling abilities.

We work in an environment that has some different regulatory rules, laws, or requirements that will need to be compliant with in addition to keeping strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles. Additionally, you should also have a strong familiarity with web-based applications, tools, and/or accounting services as well as the standard Microsoft office suite.

Requirements

Education:

• Degree seeking or acquired bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university (preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of GAAP compliant Financial Statements
• Perform various functions within the accounting department to ensure complete accounting records or business
• Examination, review, and filing of documents for property accounting records
• Reporting to various entities and working with Auditors to fulfill annual audit requests
• Work closely with auditors, owners, asset managers
