Description:

The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for prospective student recruitment activities, coordination with campus recruiters, and matriculation of prospective students to Treasure Valley Community College's Caldwell, Idaho campus. This position is primarily responsible for the coordination of a comprehensive recruitment calendar for Idaho schools, organizing campus visits and active participation in, on and off campus recruiting activities. This position is expected to present the college in a positive manner and must be able to effectively recruit a highly diverse population.

QUALIFICATIONS

MANDATORY: Associates degree with a minimum of two years’ experience in marketing, recruiting, sales, event planning, public relations or a related field.  Broad knowledge of higher education and familiarity with higher education processes and procedures.  Outstanding leadership and written and verbal communication skills; able to properly handle a full range of interpersonal interactions with diverse populations of students, volunteers, staff, faculty, and administration.  Strong presentation skills with the ability to take complex material and make it understandable and relevant to a diverse audience.

PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree with two years’ experience working in admissions, marketing, recruiting, or a related field in higher education.

SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATE: Valid driver’s license.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop, implement and participate in comprehensive and innovative recruitment activities for prospective students.

Coordinate within a team of recruiters to represent and recruit prospective students at high school fairs, business and industry fairs, community activities, career fairs, and other recruiting opportunities.

Work in coordination with the Director of Admissions and Student Success and the Director of the Caldwell Center on the development of printed recruiting materials for prospective students. Maintain quality materials for recruiters to utilize when recruiting.

Develop positive relationships with area high school counselors, business and industry professionals, and community organizations to recruit students to the college.  This includes reaching out to business and industry partners to provide information about programs being offered at TVCC.

Initiate and participate in events and activities designed to bring prospective students to the college and involve campus constituencies to highlight services, opportunities, and programs.

Create and coordinate a comprehensive recruitment calendar that promotes the institution to a highly diverse prospective student body.

Work closely with the Admissions team to select, train, and manage student ambassadors that will serve in the Student Services Center and assist with campus visits, recruiting events, and the Student Services information desk.

Possess strong communication skills with the ability to present to individuals and diverse populations.

Research current trends in higher education and remain competitive with recruitment techniques in social media, electronic communication, and delivery methods.

Maintain detailed records of prospective students and track conversion rates of prospective students to enrolled students.

This position will assist in the coordination of the recruiting activities of the Student Ambassadors and other student workers.

Complete all other duties as assigned by the Director of the Caldwell Center in coordination with the Director of Admissions and Student Success or their designee.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

This is a full-time, Professional, exempt position with benefits, including family medical insurance, paid leave, and retirement plan.  Annual salary is $35,568.
