Forklift OperatorWeyerhaeuser Boise Distribution Center is currently seeking a Forklift Operator. Under the direction of the Site Operations Manager and designated leaders, this position is responsible for all activities associated with the movement and handling of materials related to the wood products yard/warehouse. The wage for this position is $20.30 - $22.75 per hour. This is a first shift position, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.Key Functions:Safely operate and maintain propane or gas forklift to move products from stock lines to staging and/or cut stationsSafely load and unload productsEnsure accountability for personal safety and the safety of others by addressing any unsafe practices observedWear all personal protective equipment requiredAccurately perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, and multiplyingAccurately count units, record totals and document shipping and receiving activitiesDevelop in depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operationsBe highly attentive and adaptive to workflows. Commit to quality, efficiency, and continuous process improvement.This is not an inside warehouse position. This role will perform manual labor 55- 65% of the time.Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDA positive willing to learn attitudeAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and move or slide up to 100 poundsMust be able work outside in the elements five days a week and on rare occasions Saturdays, depending on business needsComputer skills: SAP or other Warehouse Management Systems, preferredAbility to work cohesively in a team environment with strong attention to detail and accuracyBuilding materials distribution work experience/ background, preferredForklift Operator experience preferred.
