Security Officer - Full Time Lobby Security

As a Security Officer in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor and badge processes, and maintain a professional, visible presence. You will communicate with employees and guests, respond to security-related concerns, and help deter incidents through attentive access control. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned business areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or access-control concerns.
• Assist with managing deliveries, contractor access, and restricted-area entry while supporting a professional environment at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
