Warehouse Associate

This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity for experienced warehouse associates to join a fast-growing logistics operation in Boise. You will perform a wide range of warehouse tasks, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, material handling, and operating various types of lift equipment, while working with a warehouse management system to track and document inventory and orders. The position is ideal for individuals who want to build a long-term career in logistics and are comfortable working with both physical tasks and computer-based systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and material handling to support efficient order fulfillment.
  • Use a warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory, process orders, and accurately document products moving in and out of the facility.
  • Operate various types of material handling equipment, including sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load and unload trucks at designated docks, ensuring products are handled carefully and placed in the correct storage or staging areas.
  • Use RF scanners to locate, pick, and verify inventory, maintaining accuracy in order picking and warehouse inventory records.
  • Perform packaging and palletizing of products according to company standards to ensure safe and secure shipment.
  • Support warehouse inventory control by helping with stock counts, cycle counts, and verification of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Follow established logistics and warehouse procedures to maintain a smooth flow of materials throughout the facility.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following safety guidelines and reporting any hazards or equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity goals and support continuous improvement in warehouse processes.
Essential Skills
  • Previous warehouse experience with a well-rounded background in picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and material handling.
  • Proficiency operating forklifts, including sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, with the ability to learn and become certified on additional lift equipment such as cherry pickers.
  • Ability to use RF scanners for order picking, inventory tracking, and verification of shipments.
  • Experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS) to track orders and manage inventory.
  • Above-average computer skills and the ability to navigate computer-based systems and applications used in warehouse operations.
  • Experience in packaging, palletizing, and preparing products for shipment in a logistics or warehouse environment.
  • Background in shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading trucks and verifying documentation.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment and follow established safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking, inventory records, and shipment documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience operating multiple types of lifts, including reach trucks, cherry pickers, sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Logistics experience supporting large-scale or high-volume operations.
  • Interest in building a long-term career in logistics with potential for advancement.

Work Environment

You will work in a brand-new, state-of-the-art warehouse located on a large, modern campus. The facility is massive, clean, and highly organized, featuring automated picking equipment controlled by computer stations in the center of the warehouse. The east side of the facility is dedicated to racking, while the south side houses loading and unloading docks, and the north side supports various lift operations, including reach trucks, cherry pickers, sit-down forklifts, and pallet jacks. Current hours run Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through October. The upcoming long-term schedule follows a compressed shift pattern: Front Half AM (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) and Back Half AM (every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), with one week of three workdays and the next week of four workdays, reducing commute frequency while maintaining full-time hours.

This is a Contract position based out of Boise, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.71 - $21.71/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
