Bogus Basin is seeking a mission-aligned Community Impact Assistant to support fundraising, community engagement, and youth programs. This position strengthens donor, grant, and sponsorship relationships while expanding access to mountain recreation and education through youth programs.
Essential Functions of the Job
Donor Stewardship
· Become proficient in Bloomerang (donor management software) and use it to track engagement, support donor stewardship and strengthen fundraising efforts.
· Ensure timely, personalized acknowledgments and follow-up communications to donors.
· Assist in building and maintaining relationships with donors, foundations, sponsors, and community partners.
· Assist with donor research and identification of prospective donors, sponsors, and funding opportunities.
· Maintain accurate donor records and support fundraising campaigns, donor outreach, and community engagement initiatives.
Resource Development
· Help plan and execute fundraising and community engagement events and initiatives.
· Conduct sponsorship outreach and manage sponsor deliverables.
· Manage the grant calendar and assist with grant research, applications, and reporting.
Youth Life Sports Program Coordination
· Recruit and engage schools throughout the greater Treasure Valley through outreach to administrators, teachers, coaches, and families.
· Coordinate registration, scheduling, and booking of school groups while maintaining accurate participant records.
· Serve as the primary logistical point of contact to ensure a seamless experience for schools and participants.
· Learn and utilize ticketing and registration software to support program operations.
· Administer scholarship and financial assistance programs.
· Prepare weekly participation, program, and operational reports.
Communication & Collaboration
· Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication while collaborating across departments and reflecting Bogus Basin's mission and values.
Requirements
Education and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Experience in nonprofit, fundraising, education, recreation, youth programming, or community engagement preferred.
· Experience working with schools or youth-serving organizations highly desirable.
· Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accurate recordkeeping.
· Demonstrated aptitude for learning and effectively utilizing new software, databases, and technology platforms.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Basic graphic design skills (such as experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) are a preferred.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
· Passion for youth development, outdoor recreation, and community impact.
· Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Working Conditions
· Position is primarily based in Bogus Basin's downtown administrative office and is predominantly an indoor office role.
· Occasional travel to the recreation area and other community locations for meetings, events, programs, and donor activities.
· Some exposure to outdoor environments and inclement weather.
· Occasional evening and weekend work required.
Schedule
· Full-time.
· Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
