Job Summary The Aircraft Structures Trainee will work side by side with experienced structures technicians to assist in a variety of tasks related to structural repairs and modifications to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications.Responsibilities Assists experienced structures technicians with a variety of structural repairs and aircraft structural modifications including drilling, reaming to close tolerances, riveting, structural component fabricationEnsures proper care of customer property through all phases of maintenance workDocuments all On-The-Job-Training (OJT) to support work experiencePractices good housekeeping of areas workedUnderstands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe mannerPerforms other duties as assignedAviation or automotive mechanical experience a plusMust possess the ability to follow detailed instructions.Owns basic hand tools to complete work (list will be provided)Pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkAbility to obtain Airport Issued security badgeWork is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights; Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally.
