We want to hear about yourPASSION,yourSTORY , and how yourEXPERTISEcan help us shape the future of dairy.From your PASSION to oursLactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring anOperator I, Sanitationbased in Nampa, ID.AsOperator I, Sanitation , you will clean the production lines by disassembling and reassembling machinery while following all safety and GMP procedures and policies.From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include:Disassembles all the packaging equipment to clean and disinfectFollow and adhere to all safety and GMP procedures and policiesTake necessary measures if people are performing unsafe acts or are in an unsafe environment.Perform daily swabs of equipmentReassembles all equipment taken apart and prepares equipment for production ensuring production will resume on clean equipment and in a timely manner.Maintain clean and organized work area by adhering to all housekeeping and GMP proceduresInteract with associates to maintain efficient process flowMaintain open line of communication with all line workers, supervisors, and managersPerform sanitation duties as assigned by sanitation lead and supervisorReport problems and/or concerns to supervisors and/or managementAttend departmental meetings and training as assigned by the supervisor and/or managerPerform other work duties as assignedRequirementsFrom your STORY to oursQualified applicants will contribute the following:EducationHigh School Diploma or completion of GED preferred, but not required.ExperiencePrevious sanitation or cleaning experience in a food manufacturing environment, industrial, or production environment preferredExperience with Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Clean-out-of-Place (COP) systems, including setup, monitoring, and verification of cleaning cyclesKnowledge of cleaning chemicals, safe handling procedures, and proper dilution techniquesFamiliarity with disassembling and reassembling machinery for deep cleaningExperience using sanitation equipment such as pressure washers, foamers.Specialized KnowledgeBasic knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP) preferredFamiliarity withCIP (Clean-in-Place)andCOP (Clean-out-of-Place)systems is a plusUnderstanding of sanitation chemicals, proper dilution, and safe handling proceduresKnowledge of cross-contamination prevention and hygiene practicesAbility to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelinesAwareness of OSHA safety practices and PPE requirementsSkills / AbilitiesKnowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, sanitation protocols)Experience withCIP (Clean-in-Place)andCOP (Clean-out-of-Place)systemsSafe handling, mixing, and application of cleaning chemicalsAbility to follow detailed sanitation procedures and safety guidelinesStrong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and contamination preventionAbility to perform equipment disassembly and reassembly for deep cleaningTime management and ability to meet strict cleaning schedules and production deadlinesAbility to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environmentsStrong teamwork and communication skillsBasic recordkeeping and documentation skills (logs, checklists, compliance forms)Problem-solving skills and ability to identify sanitation or equipment issuesAdaptability to work in varying conditions (wet, cold, humid environments)Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPEProfessional CertificationsNo professional certifications requiredAt Lactalis, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards Program with a variety of affordable benefits and coverage options.
