This role is responsible for managing field placement and finishing activities on large scale pours ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 square feet. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical finishing expertise, and the ability to consistently deliver high quality slabs meeting strict flatness and levelness requirements.This is a hands on leadership role overseeing crews, coordinating with field leadership, and ensuring pours are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.Key Responsibilities Concrete Placement and Finishing Leadership Lead and supervise place and finish operations for commercial slab on grade projectsExecute pours ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 square feetOperate and oversee use of ride on power trowels, walk behind power trowels, and finishing equipmentEnsure proper placement, consolidation, screeding, floating, and finishing techniquesCrew Management and Coordination Supervise and lead place and finish crews ranging from 8 to 25 personnelCoordinate manpower, equipment, and scheduling with project leadershipTrain and mentor finishers to ensure quality and productivity standardsMaintain a strong safety culture and enforce jobsite safety proceduresQuality Control and Technical Execution Ensure slabs meet required FFL flatness and levelness tolerancesCoordinate around hydrostatic, plumbing, and mechanical penetrationsVerify layout, elevations, and finish tolerances prior to and during poursIdentify and resolve finishing and placement challenges in real timeEquipment and Operational Oversight Manage ride on trowels, finishing machines, and related equipmentCoordinate delivery timing, sequencing, and placement logisticsMaintain equipment readiness and ensure proper usageQualifications Required Experience Proven experience as a Place and Finish Foreman on commercial concrete projectsExperience completing slab on grade pours between 10,000 and 40,000 square feetStrong hands on experience with ride on power trowels and finishing equipmentExperience managing crews of 8 to 25 personnelStrong understanding of slab finishing tolerances including FFL requirementsExperience working around hydrostatic and mechanical systemsPreferred Qualifications Experience on large commercial, industrial, or institutional projectsStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to read plans and understand elevations and specificationsCompensation and Benefits $40 to $50 per hour based on experienceCompany provided foreman truckLong term career opportunity with consistent project backlogIdeal Candidate Profile This role is ideal for a hands on concrete foreman who takes pride in producing high quality slabs, leading crews effectively, and delivering consistent results on large commercial pours.
