Scandinavian Designs | Dania Furniture is looking for a Dispatcher !Job Type: Full-timePosition: Non-Exempt/HourlyStarting Wage: $20/hr Paid bi-weekly with room to grow.Training Schedule: Monday - FridayPost Training Schedule: 4, 10-hour shifts with 3 days off : Sunday-WednesdayWhat You'll Do:Handle dispatch support for Dania Furniture | Scandinavian Designs Delivery teams by:Receive dispatch information and determine the appropriate response needed to effectively handle emergencies, accidents, breakdowns and other reasons that may cause customer service issues.Build a relationship with the delivery team, Transportation team, and our customers.Develop and create efficient, cost‑effective trucking routes to meet customer demands while matching available vehicles with load and distance requirements and provide trucks with information about orders, traffic, weather, obstacles, and requirements.Must be able to maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information with strict attention to detail.Other duties as assigned while working 4, 10‑hour shifts; three days off: Sunday to Wednesday.Who You Are:Minimum of 2+ years of experience in dispatching or customer serviceThrives in a fast‑paced work environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational abilitiesProficient in using multiple systems across dual/multiple screensDemonstrates effective problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve issues quicklyCapable of prolonged sitting and standing, with moderate reaching and occasional lifting of up to 30 poundsEducation:High School diploma or equivalent GED, 2 years' work experience in a related field for customer service, administration, transportation, or warehouse administration preferred.SCANDINAVIAN DESIGNS - DANIA FUNITURE OFFERSBenefits for Full‑time Associates* including:Health benefits with opt‑in Dental and Vision and Health Savings account (HSA)401KWork life balancePaid Time Off (PTO)Pet InsuranceTuition Assistance*Benefits eligibility depends on scheduled hours.Who We AreA family business 60+ years in the making, with +50 furniture showrooms and +700 employees across the U.S. Our sister‑brands (Scandinavian Designs and Dania Furniture) are a contemporary home furnishings destination rooted in a love for Nordic culture, modern design and quality craftsmanship.
