Our West Boise YMCA is seeking an Evening Facility Supervisor to join their team. This ideal candidate is responsible for overall supervision of the YMCA building and grounds during assigned shifts and to serve in other membership positions as assigned. Provides leadership and influence to others and fosters the Y's culture by modeling engagement principles, capturing living our cause moments, and exemplifying and promoting safe behaviors.

Serving over 20,000 active youth, adult, and family members, the West Branch of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA helps members lead a healthier, happier life. Facility amenities and features include six fitness studios, three racquetball courts, full-court basketball gym, youth activity center, climbing wall, 50-meter swimming pool, and training pool.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position for 13 hours weekly. Schedule requirement is Thursday evening 4:00pm-9:00pm and Sunday, 10:00am-6:00pm, with additional shifts to pick up as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Support others in handling and resolving concerns and report incidents that may occur.
• Function as a point person for other staff, coaching frontline staff on their service and engagement behaviors and habits.
• In the absence of other Department Coordinator or higher-level leadership staff, monitor programs and activities to ensure adherence to association leading practices.
• Respond to member and staff concerns, questions, and emergencies in a positive and professional manner.
• Performs and fulfills other membership positions (Welcome Center staff, Lead, Membership Specialist) job requirements, for which this position is assigned.
• Build relationship when working with YMCA members, program participants, volunteers and staff.
• Assist and educate members and guest in YMCA policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience in customer service, sales, or related experience.
• Excellent human relation skills and an ability to maintain positive communication with staff and members.
• Ability to address and make solid decisions in emergency situations.
• Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including telephone etiquette and computer use.
