BMWC is an industrial construction company seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join the team.This role supports the Director of Project Services in operating, maintaining, and monitoring project controls in use at BMWC. It will report non‑compliance with stated project controls policy to management for review and correction. The role consults with project teams to design, develop and maintain project control functions, cost, productivity & scheduling for specific projects, and manages administrative functions for the project controls software currently in use.ResponsibilitiesLead project teams in interactive planning sessions to develop workflow plans, schedules and detailed labor plansDevelop Work Breakdown Structures that work for both the BMWC and the customerTechnically advise project team members on how to prepare data for upload to Primavera P6 scheduling system or Microsoft ProjectsIntegrate planning information into the schedule to ensure alignment with interactive planning sessionsSupport daily/weekly planning and Planned Percent Complete effortsMaintain expert knowledge of Primavera P6, including master table setup, resource loading, handling multiple schedules, baselines and data import/exportDevelop proposal schedules in P6 when requiredProduce and maintain working schedules for a project team assignmentMeet with customers to explain how schedule, labor plan and the cost system are integrated in our systemsDevelop resource loading on project schedules to facilitate resource histogram and cumulative scurves data for metricsProduce cost and hour information out of COINSKnow basic posting schedules in COINS and how they affect cost and hours reportsAssist project management with monthly cost forecastsSupport the safety culture of BMWC by reporting any condition or behavior that may lead to a safety incidentWhen holding meetings, be proactive in providing safety learning opportunities by highlighting recent events or discussing current activities in the fieldRequirements and QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of professional experience in project controls rolesIndustry experience using Primavera 6Strong service orientation, professionalism, leadership ability and knowledge of project controlsEffective time management, strong detail orientation and accuracyAbility to work productively with a diverse team and provide exemplary customer serviceAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a constantly changing environment – prioritization is essentialComputer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products – Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI, SharePoint; technical aptitude to learn internal systems and required packagesTechnical skills to include knowledge of multiple planning and scheduling systems and knowledge of ExcelPrevious work experience in the construction industryBenefitsCompetitive Pay with BonusPTO and paid holidays401K/Profit Sharing with company matchMedical, Dental and Vision InsuranceLife, AD&D and Disability benefitsPet InsuranceTuition ReimbursementPaid Volunteer Time OffAbout UsBMWC tackles the world's toughest and most daunting industrial construction challenges.
