Electrical Engineering Professional AssociateAt Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission‑critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting‑edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.Your impactDevelop and design one‑line, panelboard, and electrical plan drawings.Develop and design lightning design and calculations for each facility.Develop and model electrical distribution in SKM.Coordinate electrical needs with other disciplines including Process Mechanical, Building Mechanical, and Instrumentation and controls.Develop and design motor control diagrams for each equipment.Oversee supporting engineers on each project.Develop and provide electrical specifications for each project.Develop technical documents including schematic design report, workshop presentation, and workshop notes.ScheduleHybrid schedule is allowed.Travel10–20% domestic travel to project sites for investigation or construction oversight as required by assigned project.Here's what you'll needRequirements: This position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related field and 7 years of work experience in the job offered or related Electrical Engineering occupation.Specific Skills: Expertise and knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 70E, and NFPA 820; SKM PTW for modeling electrical systems; AGI32 for lighting model calculations; Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, Revit, and Revizto; equipment sizing, grounding, relay coordination, designing low‑ and medium‑voltage power distribution, lighting, emergency power systems, and UPS; field investigation, construction site inspection and startup experience, including electrical system testing and commissioning experience; experience in phased project deliverables such as design reports, drawings and specifications for power distribution applications, including calculations, analyses, schematics and schedules; prepare and document energy compliance calculations and forms.BenefitsOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
