About this role Commercial HVAC Journeyman Service Technician – a field role focused on diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems while ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities Inspect and maintain air‑conditioning and HVAC systems for efficient operation.Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units.Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment, including thermostatic controls and liquid lines.Service refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps.Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems and adjust internal control systems.Assemble and install metal ductwork and assist in HVAC system planning and design.Ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA regulations by maintaining detailed maintenance records.Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment.Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards.Required Qualifications 5+ years of practical HVAC experience.Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.Physical fitness: stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb ladders, and work on rooftops.High School Diploma or GED.Valid driver's license and insurance coverage as required by Carrier.Preferred Qualifications Basic understanding of building automation controls.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience using Salesforce and ServiceMax.Benefits • 401(k) plan• Company‑provided vehicle with gas cards• All necessary tools• Comprehensive safety and PPE program• Paid travel time after the first hour and on‑call schedule with rotations every 7‑8 weeks• Standard benefits (medical insurance, retirement, tuition reimbursement, vacation, holidays, and other time off) under applicable union agreements.Pay Range $24.00 – $48.00 per hour, based on skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.Equal Opportunity Carrier is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
