Cost Accounting Specialist

About the Role
CV Resources is partnering with a growing organization in the Caldwell area to identify a Cost Accounting Specialist. This role will support the accounting and operations teams by analyzing costs, maintaining accurate financial records, and helping drive better business decisions through data.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze product, labor, and operational costs to identify trends and variances
• Assist with standard costing, budgeting, and cost forecasting
• Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close
• Track inventory costs and assist with inventory reporting
• Prepare cost analysis reports for leadership
• Partner with operations to improve cost efficiency and processes
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of accounting or cost accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate financial data clearly to non-finance teams

Nice to Have

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or production environments
• Exposure to inventory accounting or standard costing
