Whether the goal is to enhance current infrastructure or embark on a new innovative energy project, DEA has the expertise to see it through to completion and deliver a more resilient future.This is a remote-friendly position with a preference for an individual who is based near one of our offices located in Portland, OR; Corvallis, OR; Bend, OR; Seattle, WA; Tacoma, WA; Denver, CO, or Boise, ID.What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:High level technical leadership, project management, and client management for substation projects up to 500 kV.Develop project approach, or develop and implement project execution planDevelop project staffing plans, participate in group workload planning, assist in managing backlog and informing business unit staffing decisionsDelegate project tasks to team, provide technical guidance to team membersWork closely with project engineers, designers, technicians, and other project managers on multidiscipline project teamsLead or coordinate QAQC process for substation projectsWork as an effective “seller/doer” building long term and growing relationships with clients through execution of excellent work products, clear communication, and clarity of expectationsDirectly manage projects and support staff in project development and delivery, including scoping, budgeting, contract negotiations and project executionMentor engineers, designers, and other EU staffSome travel may be requiredWhat You BringRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) from an accredited college5+ years experience with substation design3+ years experience as a project manager or engineering managerExperience with all aspects of substation design, including physical, relaying, and studiesProfessional Engineering License (PE)Proficient with Microsoft OfficeAbility to write and communicate in a clear, concise mannerGood verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited collegeExperience working and managing projects and teams as an electrical consultantExperience building substations for utility-scale renewable generation, including work for renewable owner/developers as well as contractors in the design-build spaceWhat We OfferWe foster an environment where talented professionals have the freedom and support to do their most meaningful work.
