We're hiring an Assistant Kitchen Manager at Interfaith Sanctuary's Mercy Kitchen.

This position offers a unique opportunity that that blends kitchen operations with workforce development and community building.

At our Shelter Home, Mercy Kitchen serves as both a meal program and a hands-on training environment where guests build skills, confidence, and pathways toward employment.

We're looking for a strong, dependable leader who can support daily kitchen operations while also mentoring and guiding others.

Key aspects of the role:

• Assist with meal preparation and service for shelter guests
• Support and coordinate staff, volunteers, and guest workers
• Help maintain high standards for food safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Provide guidance and training to individuals gaining kitchen experience
• Step into leadership during assigned shifts

Position details:

• Pay: $20/hour
• Schedule: Thursday (2:00–7:30 PM), Friday–Sunday (5:00 AM–3:00 PM)
• Hours: 35.5 per week
