HashiCorp Nomad Platform Architect

Location: Boise, Idaho # of Positions:1

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled HashiCorp Nomad OSS Engineer to design, deploy, and manage our orchestration platform across multiple sites. This role will focus on integrating Nomad with existing task planning and tracking systems, while implementing an automated framework for task completion detection to ensure seamless operations and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Deployment
  • Architect, configure, and deploy HashiCorp Nomad OSS clusters across all organizational sites.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance of the orchestration platform.
  • Integration & Automation
  • Integrate Nomad with existing task planning and tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, or custom tools).
  • Develop and implement an automated task completion detection framework to streamline workflows and reduce manual overhead.
  • Operations & Maintenance
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Nomad clusters for performance and reliability.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and orchestration.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and application teams to ensure smooth adoption of Nomad.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
  • Create detailed documentation for deployment, integration, and automation processes.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on Nomad usage and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in HashiCorp Nomad OSS deployment, configuration, and management.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc.).
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience integrating orchestration platforms with task planning/tracking systems.
  • Solid scripting/programming skills (Python, Go, Bash).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in distributed system
