Front Desk Agent

Experts in the art of hospitality, Hotel 43 and the Block22 Companies create memorable experiences. We are a destination for experiences beyond the ordinary, in the heart of downtown Boise. As a front desk agent at Hotel 43, you'll deliver personalized service with poise and professionalism, setting the tone for a seamless and elevated guest experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Answer property questions; provide accurate information regarding hotel amenities, rooms, restaurants, and directions.
• Performs all front desk duties including check-in, check-out, room assignments, and guest key issues.
• Verify charges, collect payment, and post to the corresponding guest folio in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Assist in the coordination and support of other departments as necessary.
• Respond to guest complaints, creatively solve problems, and resolve potential difficulties.
• Create, change, and understand guest & group reservations.
• Maintain the appearance and operations of the front desk, lobby, and gift shop.
• Attend periodic department trainings & meetings.
• Complete all duties in accordance with property standards, company policies, and legal requirements regarding safety, health, and welfare of guests, employees, and the property.
• Provide genuine hospitality by engaging with guests, creating experiences, and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Consistent positive attitude.
• Ability to problem solve & multi-task.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Competent level of IT proficiency.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be available on weekends & holidays.
• Previous experience in customer service is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing at the front desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift, carry and manipulate various items (ex: luggage) weighing up to 50 pounds
