We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Electrical Engineer in Boise, Idaho. As an Electrical Engineering Professional, part of our Cities and Places team, you will be an integral member of the design team. You will have the opportunity to perform building electrical analysis and design for a wide range of projects locally, nationally, and around the world, producing technical reports, construction drawings and technical specifications. Specific electrical design efforts will entail medium and low voltage power distribution, motor control, standby and emergency generation systems, lighting systems, fire alarm, lightning protection, grounding, and security systems, to relevant codes of practice. Additionally, your expertise will be leveraged to help support high quality power distribution and lighting calculations, technical notes, and reports. Essentially, you'll be using your design and analysis skills to plan and design electrical systems for buildings and facilities, including commercial and institutional projects. Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering Registration (P.E.)
  • 5-10 years relevant professional experience for infrastructure building-related design projects involving utility systems, design and interpretation of facility electrical diagrams.
  • Ability to perform as a lead electrical engineer.
  • Experience working in a multi-discipline team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Experience using building BIM drafting software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit)
  • Practical, hands-on experience and/or construction support
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with alternate delivery (Design-Build, CMAR/CM-GC and/or EPC projects)
  • Experience in developing project level of efforts for building electrical design

Posted Salary Range: Minimum $85,000.00. Posted Salary Range: Upper $132,750.00.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $132,750.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
