Responsibilities
- Optimize memory, ASIC, and product configurations to meet performance requirements.
- Understand 3D NAND defect mechanisms and mNAND system error recovery features.
- Provide technical development and innovations as applicable to products.
- Collaborate with Managed NAND system design and ecosystem teams to develop eMMC/UFS production system test suites for best-in-class market introduction.
- Identify customers, handle expectations and set-up of communication channels.
- Lead program teams and stakeholders to drive closure of NPI products through the design process to product qualification.
- Lead the critical review among NVEG leaders, update development KPIs, present project status, risk and scope in PDT meetings, and CPR Review metrics of each development team, and work out project metrics starting from them.
- Define scope, goals and results that support business goals in collaboration with sponsors and customers.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts.
- Communicate program expectations to the team and customers.
- Maintain program support through interaction with senior leaders.
- Lead program definition and approval, control and monitor project scope and risk.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Implement, monitor/control and close programs.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
- Controllers used in MNAND systems such as UFS and eMMC (frontend, backend and FTL), both internal and externally designed.
- RG-NAND memory internal architecture, functions, and error handling techniques.
- eMMC/UFS protocols and systems including Linux/Android kernel.
- Debugging issues from system level (UFS and eMMC) to NAND and controller level.
- Firmware knowledge (frontend, backend and FTL) to develop and debug MNAND system issues.
- Process design methodologies (8D, DFMEA, and PLM).
- Product development methodologies (PLM and product development flow).
- NAND and MNAND production flows (Fab, assembly, and test).
- Specialized lab tools for raw NAND and mNAND debug and development: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, protocol analyzer, and HERC testers.
- System level analysis for mNAND including ability to decode MNAND system level logs and health reports for failure analysis and debug work.
- Component to system level analysis of critical metrics in mobile MNAND system (power and performance).
- Mobile phone applications and requirements.
- C, C++, Perl, and Python scripting.
