This travel role offers significant professional enrichment through exposure to innovative hospital practices and leadership styles, enhancing your clinical expertise in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. With a caseload of 8-10 patients daily and 2-5 therapists onsite, you'll work alongside a seasoned team on a variety of diagnoses, expanding your resume and sharpening specialized skills in both acute inpatient and outpatient settings.

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:30am - 6:00pm)
  • 8-week schedule; requests considered, no self-scheduling
  • Minimum two weekend days per month (more available if preferred)
  • No holiday shifts required
Qualifications:
  • One year minimum as a CCC-SLP in an acute setting
  • Current BLS
  • Idaho State Licensure
  • Experience and proficiency with MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study)/VFSS (Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Study); FEES proficiency is a plus but not required
  • Ability to evaluate and treat dysphagia and cognitive deficits
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
  • Open to first-time travelers ready for a supportive orientation period
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct evidence-based assessments and interventions for neurologic, orthopedic, cardiac, oncology, and medically complex patients (excluding transplant and TBI)
  • Provide both acute inpatient therapy and outpatient MBSS/VFSS
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team and participate in department training and orientation sessions
