Accounting Supervisor

The City of Boise is hiring an Accounting Supervisor to add to our Finance team! This is more than a supervisory role - it's an opportunity to shape the financial future of a thriving city. As Accounting Supervisor with the City of Boise, you'll lead a team of two Grant Accountants, drive a landmark ERP implementation, and serve as a trusted financial advisor to leadership across the organization. In this hybrid-eligible role, you'll partner directly with the Accounting Manager to guide month-end and year-end close, oversee ACFR preparation, coordinate external audits, and ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB standards - all while playing a central role in modernizing the City's financial systems. You're the right fit if you have:

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including 5 years in a governmental setting
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, GASB standards, and ACFR preparation
• Experience with ERP systems and a readiness to lead technology-driven change
• A collaborative leadership style with a track record of mentoring and developing staff

To ensure internal equity and alignment with the approved budget for this position, offers are made within the posted hiring range. Although the hiring range is fixed, employees receive an exceptional benefits and total rewards package that enhances the overall value of employment with the City of Boise, adding an average additional $20,000 - 40,000 in total compensation.
