Akkodis is seeking a Linux System Engineer for a 6+ MonthsContract job with a client Ideally looking for 3-5 years managing enterprise RedHat Unix/Linux solutions, VMware and Scripting exp.

Rate Range:$35/Hr to 37/Hour on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Job Description:

Linux Systems Engineer

• At least 3-5 years managing enterprise RedHat Unix/Linux solutions, preferably large scale
• Strong scripting skills(Shell, Python, etc.)
• Deep knowledge and experience supporting RHEL 8 & 9
• Proficient with LDAP configuration and management
• Experience with virtualization (vmware)
• Hands on experience with computer hardware maintenance
• Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Strong drive for continuous improvement
• In-depth knowledge of Redhat Kickstart and configuration management tools (puppet preferred)
• Proven skills in automating systems services and tasks to streamline service and ensure consistency
• Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex problems
• Experience supporting servers in the cloud preferred
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal)
• Strong skills in decision-making, prioritization and negotiation
• Passion and accountability for the environment you will be responsible for
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
