Position SummaryOld World Wisconsin is a 600-acre outdoor living history museum located in Eagle, Wisconsin. Guests explore homes, farms, and businesses that come from across Wisconsin, exploring stories of place and perseverance from the 1840s to the 1930s. Staff work in historic indoor and outdoor spaces in the beauty of the Kettle Moraine State Forest to bring history to life for tens of thousands of guests each summer.Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager and the General Manager of Guest Services, this individual serves as a lead worker to staff involved in the operation of museum food service, including food and beverage services for special events, while assisting in coordinating food and beverage for facility rentals and services to groups. The Lead Cook adheres to the highest standards of customer service and maintains a safe, clean, welcoming, and attractive food service facility, including patio and reception spaces, providing exceptional daily guest experience.* Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, cutting/butchering meat, mixing ingredients, and preparing dishes according to established recipes.* Cook menu items using various methods (grilling, frying, sautéing, etc.) to specified standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.* Train and lead food service staff in preparing and serving quick order food and beverage to guests throughout the museum in all areas of food service.* Train and lead all food service staff in food safety and sanitation standards, keeping all preparation, storage and service areas clean, sanitary adhering to Wisconsin Health Department codes at all times. Maintain a safe and clean work environment for staff and guests throughout all food service and event spaces.* Train and lead food service staff in the safe operation and cleaning of all food & bar service equipment.* Maintain personal appearance and oversee food service staff appearance according to set standards regarding the wearing of uniforms.* Assist planning and facilitate new food service events, including special dinners, buffets, tastings, and entertainment events* Work with the Food and Beverage Manager and Historic Brewing Coordinator to help support events outside of Old World Wisconsin Daily Admission.* Support with Service Staff, Catering Set Up and Bar Service as directed by Food and Beverage ManagerSchedule:This is a seasonal position up to five days per week, work hours between between 9:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m., weekend hours required.Salary InformationPay is $18.00 per hour with a weekend differential of 80 cents per hour.
