Our Information Technology department plays a vital role in developing and delivering innovative IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive substantial business value. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Solutions Manager to spearhead major financial IT solutions, particularly focused on large-scale finance transformation projects.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience in managing complex IT projects and a deep understanding of finance business processes, especially invoice to cash and procure to pay.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading diverse teams, comprising both onshore and offshore resources as well as external consultants.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to ensure our solutions continuously deliver maximum value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Ownership & Strategy
    • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for finance IT solutions aligned with business and IT objectives.
    • Act as the primary contact and subject matter expert for assigned IT solutions.
    • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to discover innovative opportunities.
    • Oversee the entire lifecycle of solutions, from implementation to maintenance and eventual decommissioning.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate solution effectiveness.
  • Project Delivery
    • Lead IT solution delivery for finance transformation projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope.
    • Create comprehensive project plans, allocate resources, and develop risk mitigation strategies.
    • Manage project finances while maintaining compliance with established financial guidelines.
    • Track project status, identify challenges, and implement necessary corrective actions.
    • Follow established project management methodologies and standards.
  • Team Leadership & Management
    • Lead a team of onshore and offshore resources, providing mentorship and constructive feedback.
    • Manage external consultants to ensure alignment with project goals and quality expectations.
    • Foster a high-performance team culture built on collaboration.
    • Oversee statements of work for staff augmentation and implementation partners, ensuring project deliverables are met.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as the primary contact for IT solution-related matters concerning finance transformation projects.
    • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders with clarity and timeliness.
    • Work closely with business stakeholders to define solution requirements and success metrics.
    • Maintain alignment with stakeholder expectations throughout the solution lifecycle.
    • Build and cultivate strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Business Process Knowledge
    • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of finance processes, including invoice to cash and procure to pay.
    • Translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvements through technology.
    • Ensure solutions facilitate optimal business processes.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of financial IT solutions.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
    • Ensure the integrity, quality, and security of IT solutions.
    • Contribute to the overall solution architecture.
  • Service Management
    • Manage ongoing support and maintenance for solutions to ensure optimal performance.
    • Oversee service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure compliance.
    • Manage vendor relationships pertinent to the solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management or solution ownership, focusing on finance transformation projects is required.
  • Proven competency in managing large-scale IT projects with budgets exceeding $2M.
  • In-depth knowledge of finance processes such as invoice to cash and procure to pay.
  • Necessary experience with SaaS integration with SAP.
  • Background in SAP Ariba implementation is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with SAP ECC/S4HANA is preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience managing both onshore and offshore teams, along with external consultants.
  • Proficiency in managing staff augmentation and implementation partner statements of work (SOWs).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are required.

Compensation: The anticipated salary range is $123,400 - $176,300, with potential bonus eligibility. Cardinal Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, health savings accounts, a 401k savings plan, and more.
