The Area Business Lead will work under the guidance of the Sr. Business Director and will be instrumental in crafting tailored strategies that address specific market needs. Your leadership will drive collaborative value creation, enhancing patient care while solidifying Otsuka's commitment to the healthcare community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define and implement strategies aimed at maximizing customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Develop and spearhead the ecosystem commercial strategy to engage effectively with healthcare stakeholders.
  • Lead a dynamic team of Neuroscience Specialists, fostering an environment that encourages improved patient and customer experiences.
  • Adapt and execute regional plans that align with Otsuka's patient-centric objectives and performance indicators.
  • Continuously evaluate industry trends and incorporate best practices into Otsuka's account management processes.
  • Gather insights from various sources to inform effective regional business strategies.
  • Provide coaching to Neuroscience Specialists to align customer plans with market needs and performance goals.
  • Collaborate with partners to create effective customer engagement initiatives based on in-depth market research.
  • Build and leverage relationships across the healthcare ecosystem to fulfill customer needs and enhance outcomes.
  • Engage senior leaders within healthcare systems to foster ongoing partnerships focused on improving patient outcomes.
  • Craft solutions that co-create value with customers while addressing their unique challenges in patient care.
  • Supervise the integration of strategies across ecosystems to achieve shared goals for patient engagement and satisfaction.
  • Uphold Otsuka's ethical standards in every aspect of business conduct, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Encourage a high-performance culture focused on patient-centric collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Instill a culture of teamwork and commitment to enhancing customer engagement and patient care solutions.
  • Provide effective leadership and mentorship to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Ensure sales forecasts align with Otsuka's long-term strategic vision.
  • Conduct in-depth business analysis to identify and capitalize on strategic opportunities.
  • Evaluate customer experiences regularly to refine engagement strategies.
  • Promote a cooperative work environment among cross-functional teams to partner effectively with customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or related graduate degree is preferred.
  • Experience leading account or partnership management teams and executing strategic plans is essential.
  • Background in commercial life sciences or related sectors is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching and developing team members is a must.
  • Proven record of meeting and exceeding both financial and qualitative objectives.
  • Expertise in strategy development, particularly in contracting and execution, is advantageous.
  • Experience in field sales management or marketing within the Neuroscience or Nephrology sectors is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory standards is necessary.

The salary range for this role is between $157,700.00 and $235,750.00, with additional incentives. Otsuka offers comprehensive benefits including health coverage, life insurance, retirement plans, flexible time off, and tuition reimbursement among others.
