The Role
We're hiring a Hardscape Crew Member to support our landscape construction and design-build projects.
This is a hands-on skilled labor position for someone who enjoys physical work, precision installation, and building outdoor spaces that last. You will work under the direction of a Hardscape Crew Leader or Construction Superintendent and contribute to high-quality installations completed safely and efficiently.
This role is detail-driven and production-focused. Quality and base preparation matter.
What You'll Do
Hardscape Installation
● Assist in site layout and project preparation ● Excavate and prepare proper base for patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features ● Install pavers, natural stone, block walls, and related materials ● Set grade and ensure proper compaction ● Cut materials accurately using appropriate tools ● Maintain clean lines, level surfaces, and structural integrity
Site & Field Support
● Load and unload materials and equipment safely ● Operate skid steers, compactors, and other equipment (as trained and authorized) ● Maintain job site cleanliness and organization ● Follow project plans and scope direction ● Work efficiently to maintain project timelines
Professional Conduct
● Represent TerraVita professionally on-site ● Respect client property and surroundings ● Maintain strong attendance and punctuality ● Communicate clearly with crew members and leadership
What We're Looking For
● 1–2 years of construction or hardscape experience preferred ● Experience with pavers, retaining walls, grading, or excavation strongly preferred ● Ability to read basic plans and follow layout instructions ● Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship ● Physically capable of lifting 75+ lbs and performing repetitive labor ● Comfortable working outdoors in Idaho weather conditions ● Reliable attendance and strong work ethic ● Valid driver's license preferred
Pay & Schedule
● Pay: $18/hour DOE ● Full-time seasonal position ● Schedule may shift based on weather and project timelines
Safety & Professional Standards
● PPE is required. Safety is non-negotiable. ● Equipment operation is only permitted with training and authorization. ● Hardscape work is physically demanding — proper lifting and equipment protocols are required. ● All crew members are expected to follow TerraVita safety standards and construction quality benchmarks.
