About the Role

The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Law, a role that demands an innovative, collaborative, and visionary leader with a strong background in legal education and a commitment to academic excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and fostering a rigorous program of legal education, managing enrollment, enhancing research and scholarship, and engaging with key stakeholders. This includes expanding sources of revenue and philanthropy, participating in strategic planning, and working on interdisciplinary and innovative collaboration. The Dean will also be expected to lead the College of Law in its commitment to public service, excellence in education, and the preparation of students for impactful legal careers. Applicants for the Dean position at the College of Law should have an earned terminal degree from an accredited law school and a record of significant impact in the legal field. Leadership experience in personnel and resource management, as well as a proven track record in strategic planning and visioning, is essential. The role requires a candidate with strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, and a commitment to the values of a land-grant university. Experience in philanthropic development, a background in legal scholarship, and a dedication to the mission of the College of Law are also highly valued. The Dean will be expected to inspire and lead the community through the changing landscape of legal education, with a focus on innovation and the needs of society, including rural initiatives and Native American law.
