Main responsibilities:
As a Senior Records Clerk, you will perform various tasks related to the intake, storage, and retrieval of corporate records.
The position is based out of our work site location in Boise, ID, with an in-office requirement for four days and one flex day of work.
- Records Intake, Storage, and Retrieval.
- Receive, inventory, and index records into the Company's Records Management application.
- Retrieve physical files and boxes upon request from internal business partners.
- Prepare records for delivery or shipment to requesting parties, ensuring chain of custody and accuracy.
- Warehouse and Physical Records Operation
- Receive pallets of records shipped to the Records Center and place them in designated warehouse locations.
- Process pallets of closed store and legacy records, including inventorying materials subject to retention requirements.
- Pull boxes that have reached approved retention limits and prepare them for authorized destruction.
- Re palletize and restack records as needed to maintain safe and organized storage.
- Administrative and Support Duties
- Perform daily mail runs.
- Assist with scanning and digitization of large format drawings and documents.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support records operations.
Work environment and Physical requirements: - This role is primarily based at an offsite records facility with work split between a temperature-controlled office environment and a warehouse environment that is not temperature-controlled.
- This position is physically active and requires:
- Lifting and carrying boxes weighing up to approximately 30 pounds.
- Climbing safety ladders and lifting files overhead while standing on ladder platforms.
- Pulling files from boxes (approximately 10 pounds) from overhead shelving.
- Regular bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following: - Required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately inventory and track records.
- Proficient reading, writing, basic math, and communication skills.
- Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions consistently.
- Basic comfort using computers and records management or inventory systems.
- Certification to operate a forklift and use a pallet jack (or must be obtained shortly after hire).
- Preferred
- Prior experience in records management, file rooms, warehousing, or document control environments.
- Familiarity with retention schedules, legal records, or risk/claims documentation.
- Ability to work independently, manage repetitive tasks reliably, and meet service expectations.
- Strong organizational habits and respect for confidentiality and compliance requirements
