Job Title: RiggerJob Description
We are seeking several experienced riggers for a 1-2 month project, with potential for extension based on performance and attendance. This role involves moving and installing large Makeup Air Units/HVAC systems for a significant commercial project. Initial work includes setting up transformers in a new mega-fab facility, requiring safe and effective collaboration in a team setting.
Responsibilities

  • Align, level, and anchor machinery.
  • Attach loads to rigging using hand and power tools for support or preparation for moving.
  • Obtain necessary training and safety certifications.
  • Attend rigging classes as required.
  • Collaborate with teams to learn the process of moving heavy machinery.
  • Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures using bolts and clamps.
  • Control the movement of heavy equipment through confined spaces using specialized equipment.
  • Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support heavy materials.
  • Understand and follow procedures for equipment placement and tie-down.
  • Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
  • Use job-appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety.
  • Work onsite at customer locations as needed.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of rigging practices.
  • Interest in transportation and machinery moving.
  • Ability to apply concepts of weights, balances, and measurements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with construction, general labor, hand tools, safety, mechanical skills, and millwright work.

Work Environment
The role is set in a massive construction site with thousands of employees. Employees may be required to travel out of town for various projects, including an upcoming project in Hailey, Idaho. Work hours are from 6 am to 3:30 pm, with some overtime expected.

This is a Contract position based out of Nampa, ID.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
