Job Title: Detailer/ Car WasherFLSA Status: Non-ExemptDepartment: ServiceReports To: Service Manager Job Code: 80001Position Summary: The Detailer/Car Washer is responsible for appearance prepping all new and pre-owned vehicles for delivery, as well as providing a full range of detail services that may be sold and scheduled.Reviews Due: Introductory Period 6 months Annual ReviewEssential Duties and Responsibilities1. Strives to contribute to the store's efforts to deliver an exceptional guest experience to our guests by making it a top priority to help other team members who are serving out guests (e.g., by being highly responsive to those team members' requests for information or assistance that will help them serve our guests). Never think "that's not in my job description". Wowing our guests is the job of EVERY Team Member, even those who don't interact directly with guests!2. Treats all co-workers, customers, and vendors professionally and with respect.3. Attendance and Punctuality.4. Adheres to Company Policies and Procedures.5. Maintains a clean and organized work area.6. Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the dealership dress code.7. Inspect every vehicle prior to commencing with detail for any existing damage.8. Report such damage to appropriate sales associate, sales manager or service consultant immediately upon detection.9. Ensure that every vehicle detailed is inspected by a service consultant or member of management prior to delivery.10. Monitor all pending repair orders and establish order of priority ensure that promise times are met or exceeded.11. Notify appropriate sales associate, service consultant or member of management immediately if you are going to be unable to meet established promise time.12. Monitor inventory and maintain adequate supplies at all times. Use supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.13. Ensure that all tools and equipment in the detail shop are in proper working order and notify management of any additional needs.14. Maintain an accurate flag sheet for each vehicle detailed.15. Resolve/correct all "comebacks" or unsatisfactory details performed by you.16. Ensure that the detail area is kept clean and neatly organized at all times.17. Prior to leaving each evening the late detailer must check with the new car manager and/or the pre-owned manager to ensure there are no pending obligations.18. Produce quality work that reflects pride of workmanship.19. Assist car wash personnel when necessary or when dictated by workload.20. Show the utmost courtesy to all guests, visitors and dealership personnel.21. Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy guest needs.22. Maintain a "certified" status in manufacturer's certification Program.23. Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the dealership, employees or guests.24. Perform other duties as assigned by supervision or management.25. Maintain an accurate timecard as specified by management.26. Maintain a highly professional appearance at all times.
