Automotive Parts Procurement Specialist

A Day in the Life:

In this role, you will take charge of bulk purchasing of parts necessary for vehicles that are either experiencing long wait times or are out of service. Your primary goal will be to expedite the procurement process when local teams have been unable to source parts directly from dealers, ensuring that vehicles are back on the road as swiftly as possible.

The salary for this position is $50,000/yr.

This is a remote opportunity unless within 25 miles of Estero or Atlanta locations.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with local field maintenance managers to analyze reporting and assist in purchasing parts.

  • Monitor parts availability and throughput across various locations.

  • Optimize use of available parts to ensure equity across different markets.

  • Manage the creation and reception of purchase orders.

  • Utilize various platforms to source hard-to-find or back-ordered parts, including websites, Amazon, eBay, and dealer networks.

  • Engage with maintenance management and the Warranty department to resolve issues with OEMs when necessary.

  • Oversee and enhance parts and inventory management processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of experience in automotive parts inventory management and ordering.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a dealership parts department is preferred.

  • A solid understanding of automotive maintenance practices (preventative and warranty experience preferred).

  • Experience in ordering automotive parts is a plus.

  • Strong collaborative skills to engage internal and external stakeholders across various functions and locations.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in ambiguous situations.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Results-oriented mindset with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
