Food Runner / Busser (Seasonal)
Ready to be part of the action behind a great dining experience? In this role, you'll be assigned as either a Food Runner or a Busser, playing a vital part in keeping service smooth and guests happy. As a Runner, you'll deliver food orders, verify accuracy, and coordinate closely with the kitchen and serving staff. As a Busser, you'll help maintain a clean, welcoming dining area by clearing tables, resetting spaces, and supporting the front-of-house team during peak hours.
This position is perfect for someone who's energetic, team-oriented, and enjoys staying busy in a fast-paced environment. Open to all applicants age 16 and older, this at-will role is a great opportunity to build hospitality skills and be part of a fun, collaborative team.
Essential Functions
- Delivers food orders from the kitchen to customers, ensuring all items are complete and accurate. Double-checks orders for correctness and presentation, in accordance with restaurant standards, before delivery. Serves as liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, communicating any issues, delays or special requests.
- Assists kitchen staff with basic tasks during peak hours, such as garnishing dishes, preparing sides and restocking supplies.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in the service area by clearing and resetting tables as needed.
- Assists in setting up tables with condiments, utensils and napkins before food delivery.

RequirementsRequired Knowledge, Experience, And Training - Previous experience in restaurant as food expeditor, prep cook or other position.
Ability to: - Interact with customers and participants in tactful manner
- Provide a high-level of customer service to patrons
- Complete assignments in a timely fashion
- Understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance
- Communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance

Physical Efforts While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds. Also, the employee is occasionally pushing/pulling up to 35 pounds. The noise level is occasionally moderate. Work includes sensory ability to talk, hear, smell and touch. Work in this position also includes close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Employees will stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, climb and balance. Position requires hand/finger dexterity.
Working Environment - The work environment will include inside conditions and extreme temperatures. Employees are exposed to mechanical hazards. Work includes protected exposure to chemicals.

19-Hour Temporary All temporary part-time employees working less than an average of 19-hours per week are not currently eligible for benefits.
4-Month Temporary All 4-month temporary employees working an average of 40-hours per week will accrue personal leave which can be used during employment.
8-Month Seasonal In addition to accruing personal leave, anyone in an 8-month seasonal position working over an average of 30-hours per week is eligible for medical coverage.
9-Month Temporary In addition to personal leave accrual and medical coverage, a position that is classified as a 9-month temporary is eligible for PERSI retirement benefits.
