Loan Officer Assistant

Willamette Valley Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Loan Officer Assistant to support our Mortgage Lending team. In this role, you'll work closely with the Loan Officers and processors while gathering documentation, maintaining loan files, and communicating with clients in both English and Spanish to ensure a smooth and accurate loan process.

Some of the Key Responsibilities Include

  • Act as a central point of contact between applicants, Loan Officers, processors, and third parties
  • Collect, review, and verify financial documentation to ensure loan files are complete and accurate
  • Input and maintain borrower information in loan origination systems such as Encompass
  • Track outstanding documents, coordinate verifications, and follow up on borrower communications
  • Assist with scheduling, closing coordination, and responding to inquiries
  • Ensure all documentation meets internal and regulatory compliance standards
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information and follow data security protocols
  • Support the Loan Officer with reporting and pipeline tracking as needed
  • Represent the bank professionally in all interactions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak professionally in both)
  • 1 to 2 years of administrative experience in banking, lending, or financial services
  • Prior experience supporting mortgage or consumer loan processing preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
  • Proficiency with data entry, loan systems (e.g., Encompass), and MS Office
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Customer service mindset with high attention to detail and confidentiality
