SUMMARY: These positions are assigned to Range Facility Maintenance (RFM), Idaho Training Center (ITC), Orchard Range (OR), Idaho Army National Guard (IDARNG), functioning within the State of Idaho – Military Division. The primary purpose of these positions is to perform as a member of a maintenance team operating and maintaining a remote target system. The incumbent performs preventive maintenance, repairs and services as necessary to facilitate the safe and effective training of personnel at the ITC-OR.

MILITARY DIVISION MANDATORY QUESTIONS:

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

(1) Must have and maintain a valid and unrestricted state issued driver's license (from any state). Provide your driver's license number, issuing state, license expiration date, and the full name specified on the license. (Do not provide a copy of your driver's license.)

(2) Must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain a favorable NACI/T1 Federal Background Investigation. If a selected candidate does not have a current favorable NACI/T1, as a condition of employment he/she must submit to the investigation process immediately upon hire/appointment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Must have 18-months of experience performing work related to the knowledge requirements below. Submit a paragraph for each knowledge requirement that demonstrates the required experience and describes competence in applying the knowledge. Education and training may be used to offset experience.

(1) Describe your skill and experience with mechanic calibration, working on engines or generators and making a variety of repairs.

(2) Describe your basic knowledge of electronics principals and troubleshooting methods for electronic devices.

(3) Describe your ability to operate machinery such as backhoes, front-end loaders, fork lifts and tactical vehicles up to 5-tons.

(4) Describe your ability to read and understand applicable technical manuals, publications and schematics.

(5) Describe your ability to perform operator and organizational level maintenance on various types of military and civilian equipment and target lifters.
