Summary: This position is assigned to the Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO), functioning within the State of Idaho – Military Division. The primary purpose of this position is to perform maintenance, repair and minor construction on facilities used by the Idaho National Guard.
MILITARY DIVISION MANDATORY QUESTIONS:

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
(1) Must be an enlisted member of the Idaho National Guard. Provide your military grade, job title, MOS/AFSC/AOC and unit of assignment.
(2) Must have and maintain a valid and unrestricted state issued driver's license (from any state). Provide your driver's license number, issuing state, license expiration date, and the full name specified on the license. (Do not provide a copy of your driver's license.)
(3) Must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain a favorable NACI/T1 Federal Background Investigation. If a selected candidate does not have a current favorable NACI/T1, as a condition of employment he/she must submit to the investigation process immediately upon hire/appointment.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Must have 18-months of experience performing work related to the knowledge requirements below. Submit a paragraph for each knowledge requirement below that demonstrates the required experience and describes competence in applying the knowledge. Education and training may be used to offset experience.
(1) Describe your knowledge of proper technical and safety practices relating to the carpentry field.
(2) Describe your knowledge of the Uniform Building Code and Construction Standards.
(3) Describe your skills and ability to interpret basic sketches, schematics, blueprints and specifications relating to the carpentry and construction field.
(4) Describe your skills and ability to install, maintain, repair and adjust all types of locks and their components.
(5) Describe your knowledge of electronic door locks and computerized door lock systems.
(6) Describe your ability to be effective and efficient in organizing, planning and scheduling projects to achieve maximum production.
(7) Describe your ability and skills to proficiently estimate labor hours and materials accurately for carpentry jobs using acceptable estimating standards.
(8) Describe your knowledge of overhead doors, vertical lifting fabric doors, roof systems, gutters and fixed ladders.
(9) Describe your knowledge and skill to perform rough framing, concrete forming/ finishing, insulating, sheet rocking, finish carpentry and painting.
