Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location where you will manage access control, greet and screen visitors, verify badges and credentials, and monitor entry points to help reduce security-related issues. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while documenting activity and using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:
+ Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
+ Manage access control at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
+ Operate access control systems such as badge readers, turnstiles, and intercoms, and coordinate entry approvals with authorized contacts.
+ Monitor cameras, intrusion alarms, and other security-related systems, and report unusual activity or system issues per site procedures.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching assistance, documenting actions taken, and escalating concerns as needed.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
+ Perform key control and property pass procedures when assigned, including issuing and tracking keys, access cards, and company equipment per site policy.
+ Complete detailed reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and maintenance or access control issues, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
+ Support lobby and reception operations as needed by directing visitors, coordinating deliveries and/or service providers, and helping to maintain orderly traffic flow at entry points.
+ Follow all site-specific communication protocols, including radio use, phone etiquette, and notification procedures for operational disruptions and/or emergency events.
Minimum Requirements:
+ At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
+ Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.
+ The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
+ A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
