As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and/or media location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and monitor activity to support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
+ Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Control access to a tech and communications location by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining sign-in and/or sign-out logs.
+ Monitor entry points, lobbies, and controlled areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregular activity per site procedures.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
+ Screen deliveries and service providers, coordinate with onsite contacts for access approval, and direct arrivals to designated areas.
+ Use access control systems such as badge readers and visitor management tools to support authorized movement throughout the property.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas.
+ Complete detailed reports for access events, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate updates during shift turnovers.
+ Work with building management and/or operations teams to follow posted procedures for alarms, outages, and after-hours access requests.
+ Participate in required training and follow Allied Universal guidelines, client-specific post orders, and applicable regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
+ A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
+ Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
+ Customer service experience is preferred.
+ Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
