divh2Aircraft Structures Technician/h2pWestern Aircraft is looking for diligent and detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technicians to join our dynamic team! Aircraft Structures Technicians are responsible for inspecting and conducting structural repairs and modifications per blueprint specifications while utilizing hand tools and test equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications./ph3Duties Responsibilities/h3ulliPerforms a variety of aircraft structural repairs and modifications/liliUses specialized equipment and tools to measure parts for defects or deviation from specifications/liliEnsures proper care of customer property through all phases of maintenance work/liliCompletes duties within allotted hours quoted for assigned tasks/liliEnsures proper and complete documentation of maintenance, repair, and modification work performed/liliUnderstands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner/liliFollows strict dimension tolerances in compliance with FAA, FAR, based on supplied approved data/li/ulh3Qualifications Job Requirements/h3ulliMinimum three (3) years experience in aviation regarding small, mid to large cabin aircraft/liliMinimum three (3) years performing structural repairs and modifications/liliExperience working with composite materials a plus/liliBasic knowledge of sheet metal assembly techniques required/liliAbility to read blueprints and schematics required/liliAble to work independently and as part of a team/liliGood problem-solving skills and ability to follow directions/liliOrganized and detail oriented/liliAirframe Certification preferred for entry and mid level position / Required for senior level position/li/ulh3Other Prerequisites/h3ulliPass pre-employment drug screen and background check/liliAbility to obtain airport issued security badge/li/ulh3Work Environment Physical Requirements/h3ulliWork is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights; reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally.
