As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding support and service to our patients. Your responsibilities include greeting patients warmly and ensuring a smooth check-in and checkout experience.

• Provide a warm welcome to patients, customers, and vendors as they enter the practice.
• Respond to phone inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Schedule appointments for patients effectively.
• Collect and verify patient and insurance information.
• Input patient demographics into the EMR system with accuracy.
• Confirm vision and medical insurance details and update records accordingly.
• Maintain a strong understanding of various insurance plans to clearly communicate with patients.
• Prepare schedules to check insurance eligibility prior to appointments and ensure all files are updated.
• Compile insurance claims and generate reports to ensure all charges are processed appropriately.
• Prepare and print forms for patient visits.
• Accurately collect and document co-pays and payments in the EMR system.
• Allocate balances to insurance as required.
• Keep your workspace clean and organized at all times.
• Be mindful of resource use, including time, equipment, and supplies.
• Undertake additional tasks as directed by your manager.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills are essential.
• Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
