Position Summary

The Manager of transportation leads the operational orchestration of all guest transfer services across The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. This role ensures every movement of our guests-pre-voyage, embarkation, and post-voyage-is seamless, accurate, and aligned with our brand standards. You will oversee a team of Transfer specialists, ensuring all transfer offerings are correctly built, properly communicated, and flawlessly delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee readiness and accuracy of all transfer offerings to ensure proper build, alignment with voyage itineraries, and readiness for sale.
  • Validate transfer setup against approved contracts, pricing, and service standards in collaboration with Guest Port Services.
  • Maintain oversight of voyage timelines and readiness milestones, ensuring on-time delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with Hotel, Air, and Experience Ambassador leaders to deliver unified pre- and post-voyage logistics.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement and Guest Experience to maintain accurate transfer content, pricing logic, and selling materials.
Execution & Quality Control
  • Ensure transfers are correctly entered in reservation systems with accurate descriptions, pricing, and routing.
  • Supervise manifest creation, operator confirmations, and readiness tracking by voyage.
  • Conduct quality checks and audits to ensure service delivery meets brand and safety standards.
  • Resolve operational issues with partners and oversee service recovery actions when required.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop the Transfer Specialist team, promoting accountability, precision, and service excellence.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, including readiness, accuracy, timeliness, case cycle time & Service levels, QA and guest satisfaction.
  • Balance workload allocation and staffing to support all voyages effectively.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Produce readiness and performance reports highlighting service accuracy, inventory status, and operator performance.
  • Analyze guest participation and service data to identify trends and operational improvements.
  • Present findings and recommendations to department leadership to guide strategic decisions.
Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Tourism, or Business preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience in luxury cruise, hospitality, or ground logistics operations
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing team operations or logistics coordination
  • Ability to build strong cross-department relationships to ensure alignment
  • Ability to protect and enhance The Ritz-Carlton guest experience through flawless delivery
  • Anticipates issues and adapts quickly to evolving logistics
  • People Leadership: Develops a disciplined, high-performing team culture
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across teams and vendors
  • Working knowledge of global geography and destination logistics
  • Calm and adaptable in high-pressure environments
