Key responsibilities include working high volume payment applications in two operating systems, creating residuals for credits taken by customers on a payment, ensuring that payment batches for the business units match with bank reports on a daily basis, enlisting the efforts of the Invoice to Cash Department to obtain remittances from customers that are not included with the customers payments, processing manual credit card transactions as needed for open invoices and customer prepayments, processing both paper check payments and electronic funds transfer payments for customers on a daily basis, navigating and utilizing the Intranet Portal to send and/or receive intercompany transfers, assisting Accounts Receivable Specialists with customer inquiries and research as requested, ensuring that all customer payments are entered, and cash application is completed to support month end close, accessing bank websites on a daily basis to complete the cash application process, pulling check copies and EFT payments each day, imaging the checks/EFT payment confirmation and saving on our shared drive as payments are applied, interacting with customers on a regular basis as it pertains to our credit card payment processes, working with auditors to pull audit requests as needed to provide requested information, assisting with SOX Narratives as needed to ensure that they are accurate and up to date, performing other ad hoc tasks to support the ITC Department, interacting with bank contacts to resolve open issues, accessing customer and payment processor websites to obtain remittances as needed, and working with Accounting departments to obtain posting information for non-customer-related funds.

Qualifications include consumer products experience, experience in a shared service center environment, knowledge of SAP and/or Prelude, understanding of internal controls including SOX requirement for ITC, strong Microsoft Office skills, ability to partner with management and provide input into process improvement, effective execution and change management within the team, ability to work in an environment with firm deadlines, results oriented, ability to work in a heavily metric driven organization, strong customer service and communication skills, strong written, verbal, interpersonal and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, goal oriented, process improvement mindset with a desire to consistently look for ways to improve efficiency and service and reduce operating costs, self-motivated, self-starter, accountable and reliable, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, highest integrity and character, finance experience and business sense.

Minimum experience and education required include 1-3 years high volume corporate cash application experience.

Working conditions include a corporate office environment or home office with frequent use of phone and PC. New employee training is held in the office. Work from home is offered after training is complete.
