Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description
Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will be responsible for assembling metal parts into final products and preparing them for shipment. Our products, known as extendobeds, are custom-made and installed in police and fire vehicles to securely hold supplies and tools. Your role involves drilling, sawing, riveting, and using a variety of hand tools for light metal fabrication. You will also install decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories into the final product. This position requires a strong understanding of hand tools, power tools, and tape measuring, along with basic math skills.
Responsibilities
Assemble metal parts into final products.
Prepare products for shipment by crating them.
Install decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories.
Utilize hand tools such as panel saws, table saws, staple guns, and drills.
Perform drilling, sawing (metal and wood), and riveting tasks.
Engage in light metal fabrication.
Lift up to 75 lbs as part of the assembly process.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
Experience with tape measuring.
Basic carpentry and assembly skills.
Strong mechanical assembly background.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Automotive electrical experience is a plus.
Experience with press brake, welding, FL, powder coating, and fabrication is highly desirable.

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic welding and fabrication shop where safety is prioritized. Employees must wear composite-toed shoes and safety glasses at all times. The standard shift is Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional overtime, typically working 45-50 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr.
