Boise State University invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer (VP-CFO). Boise State, Idahos largest state?supported university, is positioned for transformational growth. The University has recently achieved R2 classification and has expanded its research portfolio by 43% over the past five years. Enrollment reached a record 28,500 students in fall 2025.
The VP?CFO reports directly to the President and serves as a key member of the Presidents Executive Team, providing strategic financial leadership for all aspects of the Universitys fiscal operations. The role partners closely with the Administrative Council and collaborates with external stakeholders such as the Idaho State Board of Education, the Idaho Division of Financial Management, and the Legislative Finance Committee.
The chief financial strategist and steward leads a comprehensive portfolio that includes University Financial Services, the Office of Budget and Planning, the Office of Information Technology (OIT), and the Next Frontier program, overseeing a team of 85+ professionals and aligning financial strategy with the Universitys Blueprint for Success.
