A Brief Overview

As a Technician Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training to develop the skills necessary to become a proficient auto glass technician. Upon completion of our training program, you will earn the Safelite SafeTech certification, enabling you to perform glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations independently. We value a positive attitude, a caring heart, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

What You Will Do:

  • Engage in hands-on and classroom training to learn the Safelite way.
  • Observe and assist with glass installation and repair.
  • Learn to recalibrate automotive safety systems and troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide additional services and products to customers.
  • Study to become a Safelite-certified Technician by passing assessments on installation techniques.
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to all policies and standards.

Education Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent is preferred.

Experience Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces.
  • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong customer service skills and a passion for exceeding expectations.
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions (including varying weather) for extended periods.
  • Competence in working with chemicals in line with safety standards.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet customer needs.
  • Capability to read, write, and interpret technical documents in English.
  • Willingness to maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company dress code.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively, even under pressure.
