Position Overview

On behalf of a leading Boise-based law firm, we are seeking a seasoned Family Law Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience. This is an opportunity for a practitioner who has moved beyond the "learning the ropes" phase and is ready to take primary carriage of complex litigation and high-asset domestic relations cases.

The firm offers a sophisticated practice environment, prioritizing professional excellence and long-term career satisfaction within the Idaho legal community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independent Case Management: Lead cases from initial consultation through final judgment, including high-conflict custody and complex property division.
  • Litigation Mastery: Regularly appear in Idaho Magistrate and District Courts; lead evidentiary hearings and multi-day trials.
  • Strategic Negotiation: Direct mediation strategy and settlement negotiations to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior associates or paralegal staff on case strategy and Idaho-specific procedural nuances.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 4+ years of dedicated Family Law experience (at least 2 years in Idaho preferred).
  • Licensure: Active member of the Idaho State Bar.
  • Technical Skills: Mastery of Idaho Rules of Family Law Procedure and Idaho Child Support Guidelines.
  • Soft Skills: High-level crisis management skills and the ability to build immediate rapport with clients facing significant life transitions.
Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 (Base salary dependent on experience).
