Ellsworth Adhesives, an industry leading global distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment, is currently hiring a part-time ePlus Field Inventory Specialist in the Boise, ID area. The position involves inventory management for two customers with approximately 10 hours per week between two locations (Mon?Fri).

The Field Inventory Specialist monitors and maintains inventory levels at assigned customer locations using Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) software. The role performs periodic reviews of product lot and shelf?life information to ensure proper inventory rotation via FIFO and scrap mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform inventory transactions for lot controlled and non?lot?controlled inventory using FIFO methods while understanding manufacturer and internal lot numbers.
  • Validate inbound shipments against pack slip and open receipt, complete VMI receipt processing, and perform put?away in designated customer storage locations.
  • Review shelf?life reports and communicate potential issues with team members and/or customers; scrap material when appropriate following customer disposal procedures.
  • Perform and reconcile cycle counts to compare VMI inventory to actual inventory on hand.
  • Proactively seek out key customer contacts to understand demand fluctuations and potential impact on inventory levels; identify and troubleshoot onsite issues and work collaboratively to resolve, escalating when necessary.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of related industrial experience and/or training.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work between the hours of 6?am 2?pm.
  • High school diploma or equivalency (GED, HSED).
  • Must work well independently and manage own time effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate at various levels internally and externally.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities.
  • Good listener.
  • Maintains confidentiality while balancing customer?specific requirements.
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment.
  • Accurate inventory transaction management at multiple locations as needed.
  • Forklift certification may be required.
  • Familiarity with use of VMI software.
  • Familiar with VMI solutions and equipment including pull?tag and RFID.
  • May require extended periods of walking and standing.
  • May require working outdoors depending on customer inventory storage requirements.
