Production Assembler - Cables

Join our cable and harness assembly team as a Production Assembler. This role focuses on long-term commitment to our Interconnect division, specializing in cable and harness assemblies. Electronics knowledge is advantageous, but the primary focus is on cable assembly rather than transitioning to other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a participating team member in the assembly process.
  • Hand solder wires to electrical connectors and PCBs.
  • Assemble electromechanical assemblies as required.
  • Review and complete necessary production documentation.
  • Update job status in ABAS Systems as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Essential Skills

  • Accurate visual acuity for color and depth perception.
  • Vision sufficient to accurately measure in fractions of an inch.
  • Manual dexterity to handle small hand tools, including soldering irons.
  • Ability to read and understand moderately complex assembly instructions.
  • Comprehend written and verbal assignments.
  • Capability to work as a team member in a diverse work environment.
  • Advanced soldering and repair/rework skills.
  • Ability to use solder extractor tools.
  • Basic computer skills with accurate data entry.
  • Good math skills for counting and measuring.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in hand soldering various types, such as solder cups, J-Hook, and through-hole.
  • Proficiency in most on-the-job training processes in at least two production areas.
  • Successful completion of on-the-job crimp training.
  • Successful completion of ESD and solder training, if required.
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED.

Work Environment

Work in a clean electronics manufacturing facility with individual workstations for completing assembly tasks. Employees are required to wear a smock and shoe straps on the production floor. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Meridian, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
