General Position Summary

To assure the timely and accurate processing of accounting and payroll data for all lines of business for BPA while maintaining corporate standards. Assists in Human Resource functions.

Essential Functions

  • Completes Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including payments, deposits, invoicing, and AR aging
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Preparation and submission of bi?weekly payroll
  • Updating employee payroll information
  • Company credit card maintenance and expense reports
  • Reconcile benefits
  • Actively monitor and manage cash accounts
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Works to create and / or improve business processes to enhance ease of use and efficiencies

Working Environment

This is a part?time (25 hours per week) hybrid position . Two days per week - Tuesday and Thursday - are required in?office, with flexibility on the remaining hours. The schedule can be structured in one of the following ways :

  • MondayFriday : Approximately 5 hours per day (Tuesdays and Thursdays in?office)
  • MondayThursday : Approximately 6 hours per day (Tuesdays and Thursdays in?office)


Specific Job Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, including v?lookup, pivot tables, and if?then functionality
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Paylocity payroll, and QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, a plus
  • General understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data
  • Superior internal and external customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high?level verbal written communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Learning?oriented, ability to learn new procedures, follow current procedures and best practices, and recommend alterations that make processes more efficient
  • Precise with attention to detail and accuracy

Education and / or Experience

Requires at least 2 years of experience in accounting and / or finance; Certification, Associates, or Bachelors degree is a plus.

1?3 years of experience required in accrual accounting and knowledge of GAAP.

Salary Description

Starting @ $21 / hr
